"I guess because they want all their guy friends to be jealous of their "catch.""
Seoras's face screamed puzzlement. "I didn't know girls went for worms...I could've swore perfume was a better way to go...oh well, what do I know?" Another smile flashed across his face, he was really enjoying this...
"I wouldn't be surprised if people shoot down your ego all the time."
"And what's that supposed to mean? You said yourself I'm too good for words. Real words, anyways. Is 'awesomeness' even a word? Who says that?" he teased.

"I could've swore perfume was a better way to go...oh well, wht do I know?" Jia raised her eyebrows "Perfume smells. Most girls seem to overdose on it. You wonder why some of them are so lightheaded. If you ask me, perfume is just something to drive some people crazy. Girl's put it on like, three times a day because they can't smell it, while the rest of us are dieing in the smell." Ya, it was a bit of an over exaggeration, but it was true. Most girls didn't know what the meaning 'too much' was.
"Is 'awesomeness' even a word?" Jia laughed "No, I don't think it is even a word. BUt who really cares? Whats the fun of being a youth if you can't make words up?" She smirked slightly. "But yes, you can say that your too good for real words. Basicly I just meant to say that ego's are meant to be boosted up and shot down. Its just a fact of life."

"I didn't say I liked perfume, stuff makes me sick, but all the "hottie" girls seem to like it, and the jocks that can't tell the girl's scent from there own enjoy it too. Buncha loons, the lot of them. I think I only know two jocks that I'm sure don't like perfume. One is my brother Terri, and the other is the Queen, Artemis. She doesn't strike me as the kind to wear smelly stuff." His relationship with Artemis had seemed to have been picking up since that day at the club, but she may have just been a tad drunk then and not been able to hate him as much as she wanted to. He should probably talk to her the next time he got a chance..."Hey! Focus on the girl at hand! Anime geek + babe = her!" He told the skirtchasing headvoice to shut up, but did take its advice.
"Clearly you are not as much of a science nerd as you are an anime one. Though scientists accept facts that have been proven by their fellows, they are always working on ways to show that those 'facts' are not universally true and want to be the ones that come up with the next 'truth' about the universe and to have their findings withstand the tests of others. And yes, I am a complete nerd, not just anime. Science, math, history, you name it, I nerd it." Nerd was now officially a verb. "There, see, you were right about youths making up words, or finding a new meaning for them..." he smiled.

Jia nodded "I have one of the "Hotties" as a sister." It was partially true. Abbie was what people called a "hottie" but she wasn't the average one. She loved the shopping and stuff, but family came first. She shuddered at the thought of Abbie even more a hottie than she already was. Scary thought. "I don't see what girls see in perfume. It covers up true beauty."
"As for the science thing, not really. I can be a bit of a nerd at time, but I"m more a nerd for drama and music." She grinned slightly "Music is my life, drama my alter ego, anime is my escape. And what is wrong with being a nerd? Nerds are just people of a higher intellect than the average person, but only because they like to study. Now me, I like to study, and I have been known to over do it sometimes, but still. I see nothing wrong with being a nerd." She nodded to herself, as if agreeing. Jia laughed "See? Its fun to be young."

"Really? I guess it could be said I have one too, since she doesn't really fit in with any of the other traditional cliques around here. Shop-aholic social butterfly, that's my sister..." How very true..."And all make-up covers up a girl's natural beauty, not just false scents."
"There is nothing wrong with being a nerd," he said. "And between you, me, and the Fullmetal Alchemist,"--he gestured with the manga still in his hand--"I don't study. I've never really bothered. Truthfully, I'm not positive I know how to." School stuff just came naturally to him; he had to work hard to be sure, but things tended to stick with him better than with other people. "And of course it is fun to be young. There is nothing I can think of that I would rather be, especially not right now, in the company of so fair a beauty." There he went, back with the flirting. He really was hopeless...

Jia nodded. "In all honesty, I hate shopping, especially for clothes. I learned the hard way to not go shopping with my sister. Every store, rather boring." She smiled slightly "make up is evil. I think people just put it on to take it off. I've seen girls put make-up on right before going to the pool to swim. Not to mention some of it smells bad too."
Jia grinned. Fullmetal Alchemist was a manga series she ahd yet to read, but wanted to. "A nerd that doesn't study? Thats a new one. But thats cool." She blinked "Not positive you know how to study? Anyone can study. All you do is open a book and read really." Jia pushed a strand of hair that had fallen into her eye back as Seoras began flirting again. She smiled "Well, I'm not going to complain about a complement this time. I usually would...but ya know, you and your awesomeness...can't really complain there."

"The many wonders one sees watching others quest for the Holy Grail of eternal hotness." He smiled again; ranting about the stupidity of primarily feminine products as always a good time, especially when you could get a good-looking girl to agree with you.
"Me and my awesomeness again. My pet is cooler than me, but that is to be suspected of a snowy owl. All the girls want him, want to kiss him, the player. He makes me look bad standing next to him. I'm not really that great, you know...but do go on. I could use a few delusions."

"The Hold Grail of eternal hotness...now theres one I've never heard before. But your so right n that one. Its pathetic. And to think most guys like that." She shook her head and smiled. "Some days, I hate being a girl, so many standards. You have to look like this, or be like that. Its aggrivationg really. I think guys get it easy."
"You have a snowy owl? Aww, lucky." She smirked slightly 'And there you go shooting down your ego, proving my earlier point." Jia grinned. "Why do girls want to kiss an owl? Thats kinda....creepy......and....strange." She smiled innocently "I can't think of any other words to describe your awesomeness." Great, now she was flirting with him! Ok, it wasn't all bad. A girl should be able to have fun.

"I personally prefer the natural look, but some, or really most, guys are too dense to appreciate unenhanced looks. You may be right. Guys aren't normally expected to look a certain way or dress nice all the time. As long as they are dressed, most people are satisfied with the guys. And I swear it's true! It's the weirdest thing! I don't know why, they all just want to hug and kiss him! Damn sexy bird...but he has to be the smartest one on the planet. Owls are known for being wise, but Meeko takes the cake. And the frenchfries. That is his name, by the way, Meeko Langelo." Haha, he had gotten her to flirt back just a bit. Now to look for an opening and maybe turn up the heat...Flirting always made him happy, and oftentimes the girl would too from his rather incessant compliments. No one ever took im too seriously, especiall if they knew him: it was all in good fun.

Jia nodded in agreeance. "I guess it's life though. Most guys arn't happy with the inner beauty, they want everything on top of that." She thought for a mo ment "No offence to you, but I think most guys are self centered. Like, ya, they care about other things, but its just their attitude. Its all mostly ego." She laughed. An owl getting more attention than a guy. "In all my life I would have never expected a-" she cut herself off before the word "sexy" came out of her own mouth "anyone to call a bird sexy. Then he steals cake and french fries? Arn't cake and frenchfries bad for animals?" She thought the birds name over. Meeko Langelo, that sounded cool. "Thats an awesome name by the way. Then again, must be the awesomeness." Jia mentally kicked herself. There she was again, flirting. When did she ever flirt?

"None taken. I will redily admit that my gender is not the more intelligent of the two." Most of the time, Seoras found that particular statement to be quite valid. "Ah-ha! You were about to call him sexy, weren't you? Ya see? You haven't even met him yet and you already want him; it's his charm. Cakes and fries might not be toogood for the average bird, but Meeko is by no means an average anything. Cast iron stomach like myself; he can and does eat just about anythinghe wants. Including but not limited to chocolate-chip cookies."
"It could very well be the awesomeness. Sometimes I think he rubs off on me..."

Jia grinned "Well then, I guess its a good thing we are in agreeance then." She laughed. Her calling a bird sexy? Ya right. "Actually, I wasn't going to call your bird sexy." She smirked, not saying anymore than that. It has to be the awesomeness that is getting her to flirt this much. "A bird with a cast iron stomach huh? OSunds like most guys really. Ohhh, choclate chip cookies are good. Then again...anything choclate is good." She smiled sheepishly. The who steriotypical woman thing with choclate was true for her.
"How can a bird rub off on you? I know the nuzzle...but rub? That seems kindof strange. If anything, I'd say you rub off on the bird." Did she really just say that? Jia blinked "Wow, go speaking without thinking."

"Oh-ho-ho, I do believe someone is flirting with me..." he smirked. "One would expect that iron stomach of his would slw him down, but he's actually very fast for a fluffball. And we agree yet again, chocolate is delicious in any form, and almost anything can get better with chocolate."
"If anything, I'd say you rub off on the bird...Wow, go speaking without thinking."
"You know, I've found that when people don't think before they speak, they tend to be telling the truth as they see things. I thank you for the compliment," he said with a half-bow. "Now if only the other girls saw me as the potential source of Meeko's coolness, I'd be more popular than the Jock King. Oh well, what do I need popularity for when I know girls like you?"

JIa laughed. "If I recall correctly,y ou were flirting first." She smiled "You would think, as you call it, being a fluffball would slow him down All that fluff in the way, bad for air." When Seoras said that anything could get better with choclate Jia nodded "indeed it could. Like when reading manga, or watching movies."
Jia blushed ever so slightly. "Well, how can a bird rub off on you? Like, its only a bird." She watched him do a half-bow and laughed. "Of course, and no problem. When, as you say, speaking the truth, comes out, you should take the compliment while you can. You never know how fast you'll get another one." She blinked "Well, I think if other girls saw you sitting on the floor reading manga, in a store, they would think its either creepy, or cool, like me. Beats spending fifteen bucks per book." Jia smiled sinply "Popularity is just a thing, but true friends are better."

"Perhaps I was, but I'm a shameless fool. And my dear, Meeko is not "like, only" a bird. God Hkmself has Meeko on speed-dial. Enough blasphemy for today, and reading here certainly does top wasting money on something you could finish before you ever even get home. Better to be here where all you have to do is pick up the next book in the series."
"Popularity is just a thing, but true friends are better."
"A philosophy I have always strived to hold to, while the rest of the world whips about me with its people fake-caring about something as long as it works, and as soon as it stops working it is replaced with something just as meaningless."
