Seoras sat alone in the courtyard, still dazed and with a massive headache. Not surprising, considering Artemis, Queen of the Jocks, had just smashed her fist into the side of his face. He still wasn't sure why...obviously something he said when he was talking to her and admitted being in love with two girls at once, however that had happened. Just his luck, Lindsay (one of the two, Angel being the other) was walking past right when he said it. Not his best moment, she had run off crying and Art had decked him for it. But he had to try to make things right. Starting with Lindsay. Artemis wouldn't hesitate to hit him again if she saw him, even if though he knew that at least one of the things that had cracked when she hit him wasn't his.
He struggled to his feet, very unsteadily, and leaned against the tree. He groaned, his head pulsing with a nerve-roasting pain. He looked away from the tree and spotted something on the ground, Lindsay's notebook...she dropped it before she ran away...Seoras stumbled over and picked it up, woozy but able to walk.
"Ok, now what...? Where would she have gone...home, right? Which means...apartment building down by the water. Good thing it's not too far..."
He headed toward the door to go back through the school, picking up his math book on the way. He was kind of surprised it was still there, with so many light-fingered kids around...Seoras popped the text book into his bag and put the notebook under his arm. He walked through the empty halls, and left through the front door unchallenged. He spotted his brother Terri's car in the front lot, so he took a spare key from his pocket and locked his backpack inside it. He may have been in no shape to drive, but at least he didn't have to carry those heavy books around.
Seoras walked out of the school grounds and headed towards the beach in as straight a line as he could manage. The side of his head was swelling with bruises and one eye was refusing to stay open, but at least he was sure he still had all his teeth...bones and blood vessels heal in time, but teeth don't grow back. He didn't see many people, a bit strange, but he was glad he wouldn't have to explain himself to anyone...he spat blood at a particularly annoying pebble and missed horribly, not really caring. He tottered down several streets and shortcuts, finally arriving in front of the apartment building where Lindsay lived. Now to get upstairs...
He pushed his way through the doors, waving off a surprised housekeeper's stammered questions, and started up the first flight of stairs. When he reached Lindsay's floor, he began walking down the hall, looking for the right number. "No...no...no-WAH!" That last thought was verballized as he tripped and fell flat on his face. Not a pleasant experience at any time, but especially with the injuries he already head...Seoras, leaning heavily on the wall, got back to his feet and stumbled down the hall some more. "Finally, there it is..." He sank down against the wall next to the correct door, feeling fresh blood running down his face. Great, the cut on his head had re-opened...He put the notebook infront of the doorway, not able to move from where he now sat. He lifted one arm and did his best to knock on the door by thwacking his arm against it a few times. "Ow...stopping now, that hurts too..." He gazed dully at the wall opposite him, the pain in his head building...but he had to fix this...had to...fix...had.........to........................... Seoras passed out, unable to endure any more in his current condition...

Lindsay was crying in her living room, her legs brought up to her chest and her face in her eyes. She could feel mascara and eyeliner drip down her soaked face. How could he do such a thing. And to think she was almost in love with him. She then stopped crying for a few seconds. She told herself over and over that he wasn't worth her tears. She got up, her eyes black and soggy and headed for the kitchen. Picking up a gallon of vanilla ice cream turned out to be a good idea. She took the whole thing out and grabbed a spoon. She headed back for her white couch, but when she saw the black eyeliner spots smeared on it, she began to cry again. She opened the ice cream top and took big spoonfuls, still crying. Lindsay then heard a knock on the door. Whoever it was, she didn't want to see them, but then again it could be important. She sniffled a little and walked to the door slowly. When she approached it, she turned the knob and opened the door. She looked down and saw her notebook. But what killed her the most was that Seoras was passed out next to it. She gasped before running for the phone. Even though she'd rather see him dead, she might be accused of killing him. She dialed for the police and told them what happened. She then threw her notebook on the couch and went back to the kitchen. She took a glass and filled it with ice cold water. She then went back out the door and spilt it on his head. "Wake up you ass." she said and then closed the door, not locking it.

((it's not like he would ever press charges or anything, and he wouldn't testify if his parents brought anything to court or something. neither of the brothers would, or they would lie. if you lie about swearing to tell the truth then you are not bound by your promise, because it wasn't a real promise ^.^ and if need be, and if he's conscious, he'll make up some story about what happened))

That was wet...and cold...Seoras groaned as he regained consciousness, icy water dripping down off his head and running down his face. Where...oh, right, Lindsay's apartment. Or at least the hallway outside it. He reached up to touch the side of his face, hissing at the pain, his hand coming away with a few specks of mostly dried blood. He began to wonder what he looked like in someone else's eyes, but he really wasn't sure he wanted to know. Using the wall, he managed to force himself back into a standing position. He tried the door knob, surprised to find it unlocked...She had just dumped water on his head right? From her reaction earlier, he couldn't believe she wouldn't have bolted the door to keep him as far away as possible...
Seoras turned the knob and pushed gently on the door, passing through into the apartment and closing the door behind him. He leaned heavily on the wall, still finding it difficult to walk, and moved very slowly along the wall to the entrance to the living room. His legs rebelled again, and he fell to his knees, his eyes welling up with tears thinking how much this was going to cost; his friendship, his heart, all of it seemed to be riding on that moment, and he couldn't even see straight. He couldn't even tell if Lindsay was in the room for crying...he felt so pathetic, he wasn't even sure he would be able to say anything even if the room would stop spinning for a minute...
He tried to speak, but no sound came out. What was he even there for anyways? She wouldn't love him after what he had done, and he knew he didn't deserve to be forgiven. He was lower than dirt, and he cursed himself, still trying to figure out how he had managed to fall in love with two girls at one time...it just didn't seem possible...But he had to try something, anything. He didn't think he would be able to take it if she was going to hate him for the rest of their natural lives, despite the fact that he had brought it on himself. He just knelt there on the floor, lost in his own thoughts, not even aware of his surroundings anymore...

"Get out!" she yelled at him as he walked in. "I don't want to see you EVER AGAIN! You treated me like shit. You deserve everything your getting because its the exact same pain you put me through!" She ran into her bedroom and shut the door, locking it tightly. She started to cry again, as she heard an ambulance approaching. Why was this so hard. Why did he have to do this? Why was she so miserable? She grabbed her phone and dialed the first number she thought of. Pete's. No answer. Just her luck.

Well, that got through...The smartass in him somehow doubted the validity of her pain comment, she after all had not gotten her head bashed in, but he silenced it. He did deserve this...
He heard a door slam and then a siren. Had she called the police? Probably...smart girl. Just because he knew he wasn't a threat didn't mean anyone else did. Just his luck...
"I...I'm sorry..." he mumbled, knowing she couldnt hear him. "I never meant for any of this to happen...don't deserve to be happy after what I've done...but I still love you...I can't change that...I'm sorry..." Seoras got back on his feet with the help of the ever-present wall and headed back to the door. He pulled it open and closed it gently when he stepped back into the hallway. Might as well get out of here...if I can get that far..."

(Sorry, my bad. She called the police just for an ambulance)
Lindsay heard hi say everything, but she couldn't find it in her heart to forgive him. She continued to cry as she heard the paramedics come in "Lindsay?" they asked. She came out of her room. The paremedics put Seoras on one of those things that they carry people to the ambulance are and began to take him out the door. She signed a few forms and decided she was going to come and make sure he was okay later. The only reason she called was because he was unconcious. She'd check he wasn't dead and then leave the hospital.

((I don't mind if you crash, even if I do get pummeled, but I think Lindsay would have to modify her post: Seoras is still conscious, & he won't listen to paramedics. he'll shove them away, insist he's fine, and walk out...as long as he doesnt trip again x.x))

--Artemis walked, no ran, to Lindsay's appartment. Her hand was slightly bandadged, but still bleeding and swollen. She walked in, to find paramedics, and police *shit* there. She looked at Seoras, and shook her head. She walked toward him.--
"I think you should go now." she said simply, grabbing one of his hands, with her good one, and pulling him up. She put a hand on his shoulder to steady him. "Follow my finger with your eyes...." she said, and he did....."You should be fine, a broken nose, but no concussion. But to be safe go with the paramedics." she motioned to one of the paramedics to come take him.
--The medic looked at her hand, and back at him, a curious look in his eyes.--
"You should come with me as well miss..." he said cautiously...
--Artemis shook her head.--
"I will later. I have more important things to take care of."
--With that, she steered LIndsay back into her bedroom, and sat her on the bed.--
"I'll be rigth back." she said quietly.
--She walked into the living room, leaving lindsay alone, to check on Seoras and the paramedic's attempt to make him go...--

"Artemis?" she said, confused between sniffles. She sighed and sat on her bed. This was terrible. The police then came in. "Ok, we need to know exactly what happened." they said loudly. Lindsay really didn't want to go to the police station so they said they would interview in here. She nodded and watched as the police went over to Artemis. They led her to Lindsay's room too and shut the door. "Now, tell me. What happened." Lindsay looked to Artemis and then back at the police officer. 'Holy shit.' was all she could think.

Seoras got half-way to the top of the stairs when he saw people coming up. People he REALLY didn't want to have anything to do with...
"Great...just what I needed, attention. Dang paramedics..." he thought unhappily. Medical staff never knew when to bug off...And what was Artemis doing here?
He was surprised when the girl actually walked up to him without looking like she wanted to kill him."Follow my finger with your eyes...." But to be safe go with the paramedics." Oh, some field test thing...right then. But he wasn't going with those damn paramedics. He didn't want help. He just wanted to go home, it was pretty clear he had failed...
One grabbed hold of his arm, stopping him from leaving, and another went over to Lindsay's apartment. "Leggo of me, you lump, I don't need your help. I'll be fine." He ripped his arm out of the paramedic's grasp and started for the stairs himself, ignoring the very startled expression on the man's face. He heard Lindsay's voice, talking to the other man, but he didn't know what they were sayng and he didn't care. His face must look like flayed meat or something, he thought, it would explain why that guy was so surprised when he actually spoke...
He felt an arm on his shoulder, and he knew it belonged to that paramedic. "What part of 'Get away from me' are you not understanding? Do I have to spell it out for you?" He ducked from under the hand and leaned against the wall at the head of the stairs. Change of plans, he wasn't leaving. He had to speak to Lindsay or Artemis or someone. It didn't matter how many cops had just come up those stairs, he would not leave. They couldn't make him. His eyes narrowed as anyone still out in the hallway stared at him. Go ahead, he dared silently, try me. I won't go. I won't.

--Artemis looked at the officer, and sighed. She shook her head.--
"Its not us you should be talking to. Ask Seoras." she said, pointign out the door..."I'm sure he'll tell you exactly what happened." she said, her face showing no emotion, but her eyes showed fear.
--The police officer looked confused, and nodded. He walked out the door, and toward Seoras. He shut the door behind him.--
"Seoras. You need to tell me exactly waht happened." he said, looking at him. "And don't think I'll believe that you walked into a wall, or stairpost. You didn't. And from the look of Artemis' hand, I think the two of you had a run in. Now, if you don't tell me what happened, you're parents will get a call, and I will personally make sure that somethign occurs about this." he said, staring down Seroas.
--This cop, was not one to back off, and once he had somethign in his head, it stuck.--
