Natalia pulled up her newly aquired pink miata to the local Starbucks. I guess it'll do. Natalia thought glumly as she put the little barbie car in park. Opening the door, Natalia brushed her long brown hair out of her face to read. Starbucks. Well, it's no Café Pour Tous.. but I've heard it's the next best thing. Sighing, Natalia slugged her prada bag over her shoulder and locked her car. Pulling the door open, a slight jingle echoed in her ear. Natalia rolled her eyes as almost every person in the small café eyed her. Walking to the line, Natalia flashed a dazzling smile at the scrawny little boy who was manning the register.

Mina happened to be around the city of good old Fairfield. She had done some shopping with her friends just as they would always do together. Her friends have already left for home, but Mina thought it was best if she went to Starbucks for a bit. She ordered a milk shake and paid for it. Definitely not coffee. Mina had hated it. It was odd. Many people did. She took an empty seat in the far corner of the coffee shop. At one of the lines, she saw Natalia, who was a Senior. Natalia was a bit of an aquiantance to Mina. Mina felt a bit alone at the moment. She didn't have much friends since she was only in tenth grade. "Natalia! Over here!" Mina called out and gestured Natalia to come over.

"Natalia! Over here!"
Hearing her name, Natalia looked around until she saw, Mina Cheng, a sophomore at the local highschool. Normally she hung out with others her own age, but Mina was cute and almost looking desperate. [LOVE YOU MINA!! ;D] Paying the scrawny boy, Natalia took her Iced Coffee. Walking over to Mina, Natalia took a seat next to her. "Hé ! Qu'est vers le haut ?" Laughing at Mina's confused face, Natalia smiled. "Sorry. How you?" Natalia asked with wide grin, her french accent sticking out like a sore thumb.

One crimson corvette pulled up to Starbucks, its turns and speeds showing an anxiety. Why? Well, the driver was filled with angst. He quickly found a parking space and jammed the emergency brake on, stepping out of the car and drifting across the parking lot quite discreetly. The last thing he needed was to encounter someone he knew outside the cafe and have to stop for casual chit chat. That would have sincerely sucked. He stepped over a vacant parking space and onto the sidewalk, approaching the door with haste and entering. The bell jingled- oh how he loathed that bell. That just drew the stares that would surely result in some form of conversation before he could get his hands on some coffee.
Knowing this, he whipped into the empty line and smirked at the puny looking boy who looked quite fearful of him. "Coffee- one cream, two sugars," He ordered, watching as the bartist scrambled into the back and quickly and meticulously prepared Duke's drink. Duke paid with the same speed as the boy had when he went to prepare the drink and took a quick sip, heaving a sigh of pure relief as his headache and tensions seemed to disappear.
Scanning the room, he found a pair that he recognized and calmly sauntered over to them. "Well hey," He offered them a greeting, "you mind?" He gestured toward one of the open seats, a small smile tugging at his full lips.

Summer parked her old 1969 vokes wagon beetle and grabbed her camo canvas bag. She locked her car doors and walked into Starbucks. She loved the smell of coffee, and thankfully all the foam cups that Starbucks used were enviormentally friendly. She walked up to the counter and ordered her Java. "I'll have a ice capp, some whippcream on the top please." She said and smiled at the cashier.

"You speak French, right?" Mina asked Natalia, noticing some sort of accent. "I'm great. Not that I'm alone or anything," she said confidently.
Mina looked up at a guy. "Hi," she said politely. "I don't think I've seen you around. I'm Mina. And you are--?"

"You speak French, right?"
Natalia laughed. Of course she spoke French, she was French. Nodding, Natalia took a sip of the iced sensation that she bought. "Qui. I moved here last year, from Paris."
"you mind?"
The charming voice came from above her, looking above her right shoulder; Natalia flashed a dazzling smile. It was Duke, the charming Senior, that had everyone's eye.. including her. "No. Please, 'ave a seet." Taking a sip of her coffee, Natalia sat quietly. I hate the awkward silence. Strumming her fingers slightly on the table, "So 'ow is eeveryone?" Asking generally.

Hunter didn't realize anything or anyone. Just because he was too busy flirting with the girl behind the counter. Man did he love doing that, especially when they give you free drinks. Man was he good. He was a regular here, just like everyone else on the soccer team, well mostly anyway. Some one caught the corner of his eye, it was either, that beautiful girl that just walked in or it was Duke either on made him leave the pretty girl from behind the counter and walk their way.
He appeared in front of the table standing." Hey Duke, hey ladies" he said with a smile that played across his lips, he knew all of them, it was Duke, Mina and Natalia. Who doesn't know them. Come on they are hotties, the most popular girls in school.

Heather had never been as bored in her entire life as she was at that moment. Sitting in her room, cell phone in hand, she had been unable to get ahold of any of her friends for an hour. Both of her parents were off in separate places, and Heather had been at the house alone since school got out. Ergh, I need to go somewhere, she thought glumly. Grabbing her purse, cell phone, and keys, Heather pushed open the front door and walked out to her shiny black 2005 Honda Civic.
After quite awhile of driving around aimlessly, Heather decided she seriously needed a coffee, so she headed to Starbucks. Besides, they were usually some people there she knew. And she was about do die from lack of social contact. Heather parked her car at Starbucks and stepped inside. She quickly scanned the coffee shop for familiar faces. Sitting down at a table were Duke Tatum, Mina Cheng, Natalia Bonade, and Hunter Calahan, all people she knew reasonably well. After ordering her drink, she walked over to join them.
"Hey guys," she said with a smile. "Is it alright if I join you?"

"Oh cool. At least you know English," Mina complimented. "I'm originally from Fairfield, then I moved all the way the United Kingdom. As you might have noticed, I have an accent. Now I'm back to my hometown."
She looked up another boy. Mina didn't know him, but he seemed to know the other boy who walked up to them. "Hi," she said. She also saw another girl she had met at the library not so long ago. "Hey Heather."

Duke noticed as many others soon joined their large table, grasping his coffee and allowing another ounce or so to pour into his mouth and absorbing the flavor. "So how's it going Hunt?" Duke questioned Hunter, who happened to be the person sitting closest to him. Of course, as he riveted his eyes on his co-captain, there was definitely something more than friendship lingering beyond his gaze. A slight smirk playing on his lips, he allowed his orbs a break to roam the room and put names to faces.

His gazed quickly turned to Duke his captain. Well the captian of the soccer team. He smiled at the boy. "Everything's pretty good. You captain?" He go into the habit of calling him that. Why? He didn't know, but it just sorta stuck with him. It was a little pet name, if you must know.
Still not sure of his sexuality- but no one is completly sure of anything these days. Was this feeling he had towards Duke going to change what he was?

Having only been here for 5 days Kiki hadn't actually gone to school yet. This was her first day out of the house. Her father had confined her and her brother in the house unpacking for the last 5 days. Thankfully however Kiki had long gotten over the jet lag and was easily adapting to this new lifestyle. Not yet owning a car, and having to sell her own back in Ireland Kiki found herself walking to explore a bit. Growing thirsty she noticed a restaurant/café of sorts up ahead. Checking her pocket for money she began towards it.
Reaching the glass door she grabbed the handle with her small hand and pulled it open stepping into the air conditioned room. Chewing lightly on her lip she looked around awkwardly, suddenly overwhelmed with a feeling of being out of place. Blinking rapidly she momentarily allowed herself to think she had a chance to walk out, but she had been spotted. Inhaling a reassuring breath she made her way to the cashier. Smiling delicately at the boy working the register she looked up at her selections.
"Anythin' without a dairy product in it?" She asked hopefully her irish accent rolling off like oil. The boy stared at her before speaking in a rather sarcastic manner, "Water?" He said arching an eyebrow. Gulping Kiki shook her head, "Erm- okay." She responded quietly. Shaking his head the boy went to retrieve her drink. Ringing it in the drink came to $2.57. Kiki frowned as she handed the money over. "Betta be damn good water." She grumbled as he gave her back her change. Turning around she mumbled loudly enough for him to hear, "Back in Ireland water was free." She said rolling her eyes.
Walking over to a free table she found herself slidding into a seat next to a large group of teenagers her age. Quietly opening her bottle she decided not to introduce herself just yet.

"How have you been, Mina?" Heather asked the sophomore girl as she sat down, sipping her coffee. Her eyes roamed around all the people at the table, mentally storing away what she knew about each of them. It was sort of an unconscious habit of hers.
"Is your sophomore your just... fantastic?" she grinned, thinking about her sophomore year. Heather, personally, had liked it. No longer was she a Freshman, one of the underdogs, but she wasn't a Senior either. Just in the middle. That was nice, sort of where she was now, still, as a junior.
