Lindsay sat on the beach and looked out at a beautiful sunset coming down over the ocean. It was really a nice site. Not the most beautiful, but really close. She sighed and then let a smile spread out from her lips. The cool breeze coming in gave her a quick chill and she pulled her hoodie closer into her body, shoving her hands in her pockets. The book 'Romeo and Juliet' sat on her lap. The hardcover of the book kept it from blowing away. Lindsay watched the sky get a bit darker and she took out her flashlight. It was about 8:00 now. She should have been heading home, but maybe something would come out of nowhere. Maybe somehing very pleasent.

Seoras loved the beach. Especially at sunset. The sky and the clouds turned so many beautiful colors, they could never be properly captured in art. They had to be experienced.
The boy was dancing across the sands barefoot, his shoes stuffed in the bag on his back. At least it was dancing to him, he didn't know what someone watchng him might think he was doing, skipping back and forth and twirling every now and then. He was debating whether to head out into the waters when he tripped over his own feet and a mass of seaweed. He cried out in surprise as he fell, oomphing on contact with the ground. Seoras raised his head to see a blond girl sitting very close by. He struggled to his feet, brushing off the wet sand from his shirtfront.
"Hi...mind if I join you?"
Normally he mightn't have said anything, but he was feeling more friendly than usual tonight. It must have been that sunset.

Lindsay heard a sudden thump. She gave out a small scream. She thought she was alone. "Oh, hey Seoras. What's up?" Apparently everyone wasn't noticing her beacuse of her new hair. Maybe she should have stuck to black. Nah. Blonde was definitly her color. But thats off subject. She smiled at him and blushed a bit. The redness added to her already pink cheeks. Hopefully he would just assume it was from the chill of the ocean breeze. She couldn't help but like him. He was adorable. At least in her opinion. Maybe not in everybody elses. She had her own style by far.

"Oh! Lindsay! I didn't recognize you. You look different...did you cut your hair?" he joked, sitting down next to her. He rubbed his upper arms with his hands, feeling the cool breeze. "Well, whatever you did, you look very beautiful out here in the sand, surrounded by the last rays of another day." he continued, still laughing a bit. He really was a poet at heart, and he always had fun flirting with his female friends. This is not to say he didn't mean what he said, he did, but it was still more fun this way. She was a beautiful girl, and blond was clearly her color. It went well with the cold-spawned red in her cheeks...
"I was just out for a stroll, when some killer seaweed threw me to the ground. It's a good thing your scream frightened it off..." he said, back to her original question. He wasn't comfortable around many people to be able to joke this way, but Lindsay was one of those few in who's presence he was content.

Lindsay laughed. He was great at cheering people up. "Oh no! It wasn't the green seaweed was it? Thats the worst kind." she said pretending to bite her nails. "Oh and no, my hair's totally the same way its been since I was born Seoras. Thanks for noticing." She loved goofing around with Seoras. She could feel her face bursting into a deeper red with a bigger blush coming on. She just couldn't look him directly in the eye without those fireworks going off in her head anymore. What was with her lately.

He threw his arm around her shoulders in a friendly one-armed hug. "You know, I think it may have been, but I could be wrong, it all happened so fast! And no matter, I'll figure out what's different about you soon enough..." Seoras smiled out at the waves for a moment before looking back at Lindsay. "So, what brings you here at this time of the evening?"

She felt his arm come around her shoulder. Oh gosh. What do I do? Wait, why wass she acting this way. She knew exactly what to do. Hug him back. Wait no. Lindsay fought with her own mind as she responded to his question, "I was reading, that is until it got relly breezy. Now I'm just a bit cold actually." She leaned in closer to him a bit more and asked, "So, what are you doing here?"

"Cold? I can fix that." He pulled her in tighter and wrapped his other arm around her. Seoras glanced down at the book in her lap. Romeo and Juliet. Typical drama geek. "Shakespeare? Ever the romantic, I see. I was just out here to see the beautiful sunset. I was thinking about going for a swim, and then my face had that encounter with the ground, and I found something more interesting."

Lindsay allowed him to pull her in closer. She smiled brightly at the sunset. "Isn't it just so beautiful though?" she said, watching it hide behind the water. It seemed as if the ocean had no end, or as if it had no other shore. "Yes, I am in a rather romantic mood." she said. She looked down at her outfit. A pair of cuffed capris, a couple of studded belts, a short sleeved black top with a pink skull and a longsleeved white shirt under it. Nice. She gazed at the sunset once more and listened to the turning of the waves.

Seoras looked out at the horizon, the sky splashed with colors like the work of a careless Michaelangelo. "It's pretty good, but I know something more beautiful a little closer to home," he replied softly, whispering in her ear. He'd been feeling a bit different around Lindsay recently, as though their flirting could be more than just a silly game...
"Feeling any warmer?"

She smiled brightly, feeling awfully good about herself. She snuggled into him a bit more. she then teasingly replied, "No, I think I'm still a little cold." She was actually extremely warm in his grip. She crossed her arms to keep warmer and then sighed. It was one beautiful night. As the sun finally set, she watched the moon over their back coming up. It was definitly going to be a nice night. Especially wit the company.

((trees on the beach?))
"Hehehe, very well..." Seoras held her to him more tightly, more protectively, blowing a stuck-up blond hair that didn't belong to him out of his face. "What a bright moon..." Seoras began quoting a poem he had written about this time of day once:
As the last bit of day runs off, sunset takes the light away laying down beyond the horizon pulling a speckled blanket up over the edge of the world blacking the sky. The cosmos set the moon adrift in an endless ocean, glimmering and far away, but close enough to reach for......
