Duke decided to take-off early, considering he was having concentration problems out on the field. He took into account the facts: They had been playing shirts and skins, Hunter and Duke were both skins, and for some reason, everytime Duke looked over to receive or pass the ball, he could not help but concentrate more on Hunter's body than the ball itself. Sighing at the thought, Duke threw his shirt into his locker and slammed a fist against a nearby locker. Hunter wasn't gay! He'd never go for Duke.
Of course, Duke had a terrible habit of jumping to false conclusions, but he wasn't aware of that at the time. He stripped completely of his uniform and wrapped a towel around his waste, walking idly toward the showers with his head full of confusing thoughts. How was it that he was bi and a jock? Bi jock, that was kind of like an oxymoron- depending on what way you looked at it. Suddenly, the locker room door screeched open and Duke found himself staring upon the person who had been clouding his thoughts for the past hour.

Hunter watched Duke although practice. Sexual or not he still watched him. Why am I so prone to looking at Duke, is it because he hot, well of course he is he get all the girls at his feet , or it is something more. He thought to himself, as he ran down the field, dibbling the soccer ball, before he was nearly tackled by Larry their sweeper.
"Hunter what’s with you," was all he heard before he walked to the locker room. “I want you guys to run three laps, then clean up the field. Then hit the locker room.” He hollered before opening the locker room door. “Duke!” he yelled, walking hastily through the rows of lockers before her found the boy he was looking for. Duke Tatum, the boy of his dreams, well his untold dreams, turned the corner. “Why’d you just walk off like that ?” he said as he turned the corner. But Hunter was at a lost of words. “ um, erm… Yeah” was all her could spit out.

"Er, I was just having some weird thoughts- couldn't concentrate," Duke tried to completely hide his feelings for Hunter- but it was hardly helpful. Every couple of seconds, his eyes would drop to scam on his co-captain before wincing with regret and turning to stare into space for a second while breathing deeply. Of course, these feelings weren't exactly helped by the fact that he felt pretty naked and vulnerably- oh how did he get into these situations? Yeah, there were definitely feelings there...

Hunter digits began to slip noticeably. “ uh Yeah… I made the guys run three laps and then clean up the field so we have time…..” He looked down at the floor, “to you know talk” he said as he gracefully look up. He was talking pretty face. He was nervous, and everyone knew when Hunt talked fast his was nervous, just because he never really happened. So ever one picks up on it.
He had to tell him, That he thinks he likes him but, what would that be, He’ll get kicked off the team, maybe even worse he’s lose his friend ships with everyone including Duke it can’t happen. Hunter began to walk close to him. “what buggin’ ya?” He said as he put a hand on his muscular shoulder. His hand was like a small fish swimming in a ocean. Exaggerating, maybe a little.
Hunter just wanted to be there for his, they were closer then close. He was the best of the best, to hunter he was consider family, but that doesn’t change the way he thinks he feels about him, he think that make it worse. Knowing through thick and thin he is there, knowing he could fall back on him. Knowing that if he did something stupid. It would all be okay, because he could take to duke about. He doesn’t; do this to just any one ya know.
“Captain, you can tell me anything” he said as he leaned against the nearest standing object which wasn’t Duke.

"Oh," He began, arching an eyebrow as a small dash of hope sparked up within his cluster of emotions. "Well- uh, what'd you want to talk about?" Duke questioned as though the topic wasn't on his strange behavior. It was as though he was generally trying to avoid the subject matter with that fearful expression written on his face. There was nothing he could do- though, to hide it. Hunter looked a little uneasy- was Duke scaring him away? He certainly hoped not.
It was strange, how this firm reputation of Duke's to be the tough guy at school and be able to come out of anything with muscles flexing held even in the biggest of situations, but when something so fragile came up, he ended up trying to tame the trembling he was experiencing. "Is it cold in here or is it just me?" Duke tried to justify his shaking, pretending it was the frigid air as opposed to how unbelievably nervous he was.
"I don't know," Duke responded to "what's buggin' ya?" The sad part was that he sounded unsure about not knowing. It was blatantly obvious that he was hiding something from Hunter. What? Well, that should have been pretty obvious as well. He just didn't know if he could handle that rejection- afterall he certainly wasn't used to being turned down. In this case, though, it was completely unpredictable how the tables would turn. Duke felt the chills run up his spine and his thighs tremble with mild lust as Hunter placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Um, well," Duke began, edging himself slightly closer to Hunt but not being particularly sure whether he would be able to speak the words. Maybe if he just showed it... another nervous sigh passed his lips.

Everything was on ice between them. It was a static between the two. They like each other for the most part and they can’t seem to get their act together. Haunter had to tell him what he thought of Duke. ‘cause he can’t take this childish thing they are doing. But the debate that was going through his mind was that if her said it might be heard but if her showed this it might be seen. He was quiet. Hunter was lost in thought, as well as planning on how he was going to do this.
“ Captain, I have to tell you something but you have to promise to be open and not hate me after wards.” Okay. That did give him a vague idea but. God if he did this and he was straight this just might put him in the middle of an un frozen lake and he was going to be one going under. He finally grabbed his hand. Pulling him to the furthest part of the locker room which was the showers. And then to brought him to the back corner of the showers which wasn’t a very spacious spot. Putting Duke to the wall he said “Okay well I lied I not going to tell you anything” he said, right before he walked a little closer so he was practically on top of him. And then it was then it was the prize.
Hunter leaned in and kissed him. He pressed his lips up against his. Man did this fell good. But thing were suddenly broken by Hunter losing his nerve and running away.

Duke stared with widened eyes as Hunter spoke about confessing something. No... could it be!? Would life actually be so good? There was nothing compared to the fear driving down Duke's spine at that particular moment- nothing that could relieve the horror he felt in trying to push himself to just say what he wanted to stay.
Before given the opportunity to answer, Hunter had grabbed hold of Duke's forearm and dragged him across the locker room- he struggled to clutch onto his towel with his free hand. Hunter then shoved him up against the wall and planted one of the most amazing kisses Duke had ever experienced right on his lips. Before he would gain the nerve to try and force his tongue past Hunter's lips, his co-captain would pull away fearfully and sprint off- leaving him in a rather amusing position.
It took him quite awhile to process what had happened, but when he finally did he would feebly walk over to the nearest shower nozzle and turn on the cold water...
