Another day, another jerk (open to any jock)

Syn woke up on the monday morning full of antitcipation of the day ahead, about his mastership ceemony after school.
he got up and got dressed quickly as he was already late for school as it was, he slung on his usual tight black t-shirt, showing off his muscular fisique, his loose fitting jeans and trainers. "bye mom, bye dad" he shouted as he ran out of the house a few moments later.

As he ran down the street towards the school he tried to sort out his hair, it was in his eyes again so he put on his bandana and tiead it, so his hair was revealed but also managed.

he reavched the shcool just after the bell went, people were trudging inside, hurrying to get to registration. he walked thought the crowd and into the teritotory of the jocks, who most people seemed to be avoiding for some reason.

Duke was seated by the fountain, planted perfectly in the center of the school's entrance- an array of sea creatures plastered together with water shooting out in clever areas. One of the ideas for a senior prank had been to carve some obscene holes and put gallons of soap mix into the fountain. In a little less than five minutes, the entrance courtyard would have become one gigantic bubble-covered forest.

The bell rang, and everyone gradually began to leave. Duke didn't particularly care about being late- after all, he was a senior and there was nothing less he wanted to do than go to class. Shrugging as the last of his friends sloped away, Duke stood from the fountain's outer border and began walking off, carelessly bumping into someone who looked particularly rushed. "Hey, be careful," He said firmly- most likely coming off a little more harshly than he would have originally wished.

Someone bumped into him as he walked through the mass crowd that were scramling into the doors. he didnt no who it was, nor did he care, he was late and he didnt want to get into detention, he had plans after school.
"what, me be careful?, you watch it yourself, jock" he sneered looked the guy down and turened to walk away.

Syn hated the jocks, usually h it was just the drama students and the indies who didnt like them, but he hated them becease they were bullys, he despised the fact that they travelled in packs and then started to pick on younger kids, one day, he would love for them to pick on him, then theyd know, he'd show them all.

[Duke Tatum]

Duke had to arch an eyebrow at the kid before him, a slight smirk crossing his lips at the way he said "jock". Man, Artemis was right!, He mused, staring down at the kid with no idea what else to say. How could someone he didn't know seem to loathe him so passionately? Duke watched the fire in his eyes dance aound before he turned to walk away. Of course, his own blood had slightly bubbled as well. Storming up behind the kid, he grabbed his shoulder and ripped him back around to face him.

"You've got something against me, kid?" He threatened, an angered expression plastered to his face- it wasn't his fault he had been provoked by some little kid who spoke to him with a condescending tone. There was nothing more Duke hated than that. When Duke got angry, however, it was pretty scary. A tall, built guy towering over you with anger in his eyes- it wasn't everyday a person could see him looking so menacing.

Syns eyes flared as the guy dragged him back he turned and replied "no, not you personally, but th whole lot of you, i hate everything you stand for, all your after is scoring with girls and getting wasted every weekend" he listen to what he said afetrwards, "kid, are you mad, im a year younger then you are you idiot"

[Duke Tatum]

"Everything we stand for? How the hell would you know anything about that!?" Duke cried out, pondering over the injustices he was facing from this year-younger peer. "You don't even know me- and you've already judged me. I think if anyone needs to think about what he stands for, it's you," Duke calmed his tone, nostrils flaring as he attempted to tame his short temper.

"how would i know, you showboat it, all of you, bragging about how far you got with the girl you got drunk the previous night" he was venting out all his frustration out on this guy and he didnt know why. "all i hear in the hallways is people like you shouting and tormenting kids who are younger than you are. I dont need to know you, your all the same" he said in a harsh tome and stared right into the eyes of the older and much more bulit guy.

[Duke Tatum]

"Right, 'cause that makes perfect sense. You know a few of them and you know them all. No wonder kids like you get beat up on." Duke concluded, shoving past him and starting off toward his class. Normally, Duke would have been wrong to start trouble with someone he didn't know. This time, though, it was different. Everyone assumed that just because he was kind of the leader of the jocks, he was the worst one of them all. But these are the same people that have never spoken two words to him. Sure, there ARE those guys that concentrate on getting wasted or making it with girls, but that didn't mean all of them were like that.

((Mind if I join you? I could use a bit of drama....))

--Artemis walked up the road to the school. She'd overslept, but that was fine. She'd already been accepted to the college of her choice, and didn't really care. She soon heard yelling, and ran up ahead to see what was going on. She saw Duke, and some, younger looking kid, going at it. She cringed. She'd seen this kid around school. He had Jock issues. Duke shoved past him, and she could sense what was going to happen next. From what she had heard, the younger kid was a kick ass martial artist, and even if Duke was 10 times stronger, he would probably get the shit kicked outta him. She walked up, and put a hand on Duke's shoulder, facing the younger boy.....--

"There an issue here?" she asked, standing in between the two, in case something went wrong.

--Her eyes flashed slightly. If people thought Duke was a trip when he was mad, you'd be hell bent to see Artemis. She knew Duke had a short fuse, and that was the last thing she needed right now.....--

Syn looked around and saw artemis, he had seem this girl round, she was the 'queen' to this guys 'king', he couldnt really care less about anyone else right now but he thought this one was sorta ok, well for a jock.

She asked the two of them if anything was wrong and syn was the first to reply, "oh, yknow, the usual stuff, just the fact that i see jocks beating the crap outta younger kids every other day, and i do not see the so called 'king' doing anything about it" Syn was starting to get angry now, but he wouldnt let it go too far, he closed his eyes and breathed slowly. "its an awful thing bullying, i dont like to see anything like that happening to anyone."

--Artemis looked at him curiously for a moment. She tiilted her head to the side, pieces of hair fallign in her face. She smiled slightly.--

"If I recall correctly, Duke hasn't been in an actual fight, since the 6th grade. And that kid really deserved it...." she said shrugging...."The way I look at it, he wasn't bullying anyone. He doesn't judge peopel just by their clique, the way you do. If anyone is a bully here, its you. You assume that just because he's a jock, he thinks he better than everyone, and he doesn't....." she said softly, still watching him intetnly

"when did i say that it was him personally, who was handing out the beatings, i said that he stood there and watched, if he is as good as you think, why didny he stop it?" he said looking at her then he turned to duke with anexpression od great anger and disgust. "this has been fun"he said turning, "but i have sometihng to prepare for," syn started to walk towards the school doors, "and bully," he said turing back to look at artemis, "i dont think id be that stupid, i have better things to do than hurt those weaker than myself" without another word he walked off, not to the class rooms but to the gym, he missed registrtation, so he might as well get some training in while he was doing nothing.

--Artemis watched him walk away, and turned to Duke..--

"That was interesting...."

Duke's eyes fell upon Artemis, watching as she turned the little argument to her own hands and eventually the pair were kind of at a tie. The Junior stormed away toward the athletic region and Duke just shrugged. "I give up on people," He said with no hesitation.

--Artemis grinned, and laughed lightly. She nodded in agreement....--

"C'est la vie...." she said, smikring.....

--That was, the only French she knew....--
