Summer walked into the club wearing a green camo mini skirt and a black tank top that said: 'The Beatles: Let it be' on it and went straight for the dance floor. That was the one thing Summer liked to do more than saving the environment, to dance. As she started to sway her hips and move to the music, she looked around for anyone she new...anyone she could..dance with.

Duke's gaze fell upon a cute girl as she sauntered into the club. He smirked somewhat, recognizing her from school and deciding he might say "hi" if she was close enough. Bravely, she stepped onto the dance floor and began swaying to the music- it was admirable of her to just jump in like that, at least in his opinion. Of course, there weren't many others out there, and Duke had some sympathy in him for her.
But of course, he wasn't the type to just go dance out of no where. Frowning slightly, he folded his arms and averted his eyes, glancing down at the apparel he had chosen. Not too formal, just a semi-tight, white t-shirt and a pair of jeans. He posted up against a nearby column and kept his arms tight against his chest, somewhat flexing his muscular physique.

Summer noticed a guy from her school checking her out...and it wasn't just any guy it was...Duke...Duke Tatum...one of the hottest guys in the intire school. She smiled at him and did something she thought she never would do...she actually walked over to him. "Hi..." She said and quickly looked down at her feet. 'great move Summer' she thought to herself.

Duke watched with surprise as she stopped dancing and walked over to him. He didn't actually think she would- that's what he got for noticing people, he guessed. Smiling as she greeted him, he left a simplistic "Hey," on his lips but kept the conversation flowing. "I think I've seen you at school. My name's Duke." He introduced himself, politely extending his hand.

Summer smiled and shook his hand. "I'm Summer." She said and smiled at him. "So...what are you doing here?" She asked trying to keep it cool...but it wasn't working. This was Duke...the Leader of the Jocks and one of the Hottest guys in the whole school, and he was here...talking to her.

After shaking her hand he withdrew, folding his arms once more in spite of casual conversation. His smirk disappeared, the expression he wore was purely serious- normal, in his case. "I don't really know. Just bored, I guess," Duke attempted to explain, shrugging before riveting his eyes on Summer's. "What about you?"

Summer shrugged. "Well, I came here to dance, and because I had nothing else to do." She said and smiled. "So...your the captain of the boys Soccer team at our school right? I hear your really good." She said. But...as a matter of fact Summer hadn't heard that...she new it. She watched all of his games. Not just because he was in it of course. Her best friends Jack and Drew were on the team too, so she watched it mostly for moral support for them. She also played Soccer on the Girls Team...but she didn't think Duke really cared about that.

"Uh, yeah," He said with a grin. Duke had a tendency to be humble about his high position- he hated to think anyone saw him as a boasting jerk- and as a result came off as a better person, he supposed. "Thanks, I practice a lot and I love the sport," He briefly explained, then seeing that twinkle in her eye that seemed so knowing. "Don't you play?" Duke suddenly questioned as he realized where he recognized her from.

Summer smiled and nodded she couldn't belive that he actually new that she played on the girls team. "Yeah I play Left Defense on the Girls team." She said and smiled. "Not many people come out to our games...or even know what I'm on the team. I guess you much really love the sport."

Duke somewhat frowned at this. As much as he hated to say it, they were right. There wasn't much of a crowd when it came to the girls soccer team. If Duke had his way, they would play co-ed, but for some reason the coaches strongly supported against it. "I go to all your games. Hell, I talk to Natalia and Artemis all the time about your strategies." He announced, remembering all the times they had met up for some advice.

"Really?" Summer said in suprise. "Awesome...Thanks for coming to all the games. We need the suport. and helping us with our strategies...we need help with that too." She said and smiled. The thing about Girl Soccer was that there were alot more controling of our strategies, because we all wanted the most play time. Even though that sometimes wasn't the best thing for the team. But the Girls Soccer team was still pretty close. No matter the Clique...on the Soccer team we were all friends and nothing could rip us a part.

She seemed quite a lit with the piece of information- apparently he hadn't been noticed as much as he would've normally guessed. Sure, people would try and start conversations with him- the wannabe's that had a tendency to pretend they were friends with people like Duke and Heather- but he would brush them off and rivet his attention on the game. After all, if those girls were going to get somewhere with it- they needed to just work together for a change and be the best person to help another be the best person to help and so on and so forth. It was a chain. A circle of soccer- if you will.
"You guys are good- don't get me wrong. There's just a little negative tension out there sometimes and that affects how you play."

Summer sighed and nodded. "It's all because of the Cliques we have at school. It affects our game. But sometimes...there is this like feeling...were everyone is equal, you know...and your all friends. I love it. Just a sense of Belonging you know?" She said and smiled. "Sorry if I'm talking to much...about my stupid opinion's." She said and shrugged.

"Yeah- those things are ridiculous. I've overheard people saying that half the jocks can't read. That one stung a little," Duke commented, chuckling lightly and disbelievingly shaking his head.
"That's what it's all about. All being in the same position and having to work together for a common goal." He explained with a very matter-of-factly tone.
"Nah, don't worry about it. Believe it or not, I've been called a good listener." He said, winking.

Summer smiled. "Really?" She said and laughed. "Well...everyone thinks us Individual's are losers. They especailly think that I'm just a Hippie Chick with no life." She said and sighed. "But whatever...thats highschool." She said and gave him a shy smile.
