"Needing" To "Meet" Someone -friends-

It was Pete's 7th day in "Rehab", well thats what Pete called it. They were getting him off his dependancy for alchol and attempting to repair the thing he called a brain. Most people would visit for a few minutes, aka his family. Then they would leave him alone, and he hated it. But today someone wanted to visit him, and that was odd. But he waited...

--Artemis walked around the hospital. Ever since she'd been arrested for assault, part of her probation, was weekly meetings with a counselor, and monthly psych evaluations. She sighed. She hated it like you had no idea. Wandering the halls, avoiding going home, she looked at all the name plates for the rooms. Seeing her best friend's she walked in, and looked around.--

"Pete my boy..." she grinned, and walked over to his bed....."Scootch over...." she said, pushing his legs aside, and crawling up to sit on the bed....."How ya doing?" she asked

--She absently fiddled with the hospital bracelet she had forgotten to take off. She hadn't told anyone about her weekly and monthly meetings yet.....--

Pete was happy to see who it was. He moved over for her, "Eh making it..." Pete said to her qustion. Pete saw her bracelett. He was going to say something but didint, learning from his stay here the being asked to much makes you talk to much. Who wants that? "So, what brings you here, to hell?" Pete asked with a smile.

--Artemis laughed, and smiled..--

"Well, I'm glad." she reached into her bag, and pulled something out. SHe looked around suspiciously, and quickly handed him a huge chocolate bar......"You didnt' get it from me...." she laughed....."I know what shit they feed you here, so i figured I'd bring you some good tasting food...like....CHOCOLATE!" she snickered....

--To tell, or not to tell? That is the question....--

"I'm uh......" she stuttered a bit, then realized she hadn't taken off her bracelet......"I'm here for a psych evaluation...." she said quietly...."Its been part of my probation, ever since I got arrested....." she looked at him, knowing he wouldn't care. That he would know how she felt...

Pete smiled when she gave him the chocolate. He has been living on what seemed like dog food, so it made him happy. Then he heard her reason for being here and he gave her sort of a half smile. "Its fun..." He said sarcasticly, offering her half of the chocolate bar. "They asked to much, listen to little. And then when you want them to listen they would rather remind you why you are here."

--Artemis laughed, and nodded....--

"Hell yes..." she shook her head....."My guy, seems to think, that I have anger issues, and a drug addiction....." she sighed...."Don't know where he would get that idea...." she laughed innocently, a very bad act by the by......"He also thinks, that I..." she paused trying to remember his exact words....." 'spend my time drawing, so that I don't have to deal with real life...' " she said, air quotes and all....."I'm telling you, its the joy of my existence....."

--She looked up, hearing someone walk by. Her doctor.....--

"oh shit...." she muttered, and jumped down hiding behind Pete's bed

--The doctor walked into the room, and looked around suspiciously, muttering to himself....--

"I swear I heard that menace of a girl in here...I am goign to get my PDA back, if I have to pry it from her cold dead hands....." in a huff, the doctor left.

--After a few moments, Artemis cautioned to get up, and back on Pete's bed...--

"Oh yeah...he also thinks I'm a klepto, and i sorta 'forgot' to show up to our meeting today...." she laughed, tossing his PDA in teh air....."Hey, if he's so desperate to talk, he shouldn't spend the whole time playing chess on his PDA with his other dork friends...."

Pete listend to everything she said. And he laughed at most, "They said the same thing about me. Insted of calling it rehab, i am 'getting on track.' " He said with a grin. When he saw her doctor walk in he almost died of laughter. He knew who it was, the man who evaluated him. "What did you do?" Pete asked before she showed him the pda and he just laughed harder.

"Give me that for a second." Pete said looking at it. It had his beeper number in it. And Pete paged him, then gave it back to her. "We should time and see how long this takes."

--Artemis laughed, and looked at Pete, shaking her head.--

"You rock my world" she snickered.....

--Suddenly, a very pissed off doctor walked into the room--

"I knew I heard you in he-" he paused, seeing Pete....."The two of you know eachother?! Well that sure as hell explains a lot...." he glared at the both of them....."Give me back my PDA you demon child...."

--Artemis laughed, and tossed it back and forth from hand to hand...--

"And you're supposed to be helping me.....calling me a demon child really hurts doc...." she put on a hurt face....."You're my shrink, and you're not supposed to insult me, and demeane me, and hurt my already low self esteem....I could sue for malpractice....." she said, looking at him.....

"Give me it, or your probation officer will be getting more then a pych report."

The doctor said facing her, then back to Pete. "And if I were you, I would choose my friends more wisley." the doctor glared facing Pete, then grabed the PDA from Artemis, and storming off.

Pete laughed slightly. She made him forget about how annoying it was to be here. "God... I have to go to a frigging meeting in an hour. I sware there are people who are more messed up then me. One kid was living in an alternate universe where he thought he was in the circus." Pete spoke the truth. Though he did deserve to be here, it made him think about how much better off he was then some people.

--Artemis laughed, and shook her head. She sighed, and waited until the doctor left the room. She started cracking up....--

"Three. Two." she counted down until...

"SAGGEZZA!"

"One."

"You changed my password. Change it back. now." the doctor glared...."Before I call security...."

--Artemis laughed, and shrugged.....--

"I dont' really remember what I changed it to....must be all the drugs you keep accusing me of doing..." she snickered, her sardonic humor coming out

Pete tried so hard not to laugh, afraid he may get a bad report from him to his own shrink and addiction specialist. "I think you changed it to 'dick'. I'm not sure though, it could also be 'smart ass'." He told her, not really caring now. Pete hasn't laughed or smiled in a week and he wasn't going to loose it now.

[Artemis Saggezza]

--Artemis thought momentarilly.....--

"Maybe it was quack...oh, no...maybe useless..." she sighed...."It might have been scuz...." she shook her head, thinking....."So sorry doc, I really don't remember what I changed it to...." she snickered....."but, I think, that a good report, might help my memory....Get me outta here for good, apologize to Pete, and you might, just might, get your password..."

[Pete Starintino]

"If i could get you out of here, i would. Turst me. You scare the patients. And that takes alot." The doctor said growing angrier at the minute. "And as for apoligizing. I will not. This boy can't even aplogize to himself..." The doctor said with a sarcastic smile. "Have a nice day..." The doctor said now leaving, a stream of curses twords them.


"How long do they want you to keep coming back?" Pete asked as if nothing happened. "I am in here for two months mandatory, then if they think i am ready they will let me go... if not, i am stuck here." He said sitting back. Really hating it here. He just wanted a drink, to hang out with people.

Lindsay walked through the hospital. The hood of her light jacket was over her now black hair. She understood that her little 'sneak out' from the hosiptal a few days ago made the doctors crazy and they were now searching for her throughout the hospital. She had a lot of black make-up on. She was here to visit Pete. To ask him a question that had been bugging her. She walked past a cursing doctor and rolled her eyes. They never seemed to care much. She aproached Pete's room and smiled at him and Artemis. "Heya Artemis. Haven't seen you in awhile." she said with a smile. She walked in and sat on a chair near Pete and Artemis. "How you doin?" she asked Pete. She looked sympatetic even though she knew he should be somewhere where he could get real help that he needed. He wasn't what they thought he was. He needed help from someone who would understand. Not a 'jump to conclusions' doctor. She really wanted to ask Pete about him and Angel. She had been really upset. But now wasn't the right time. Not with artemis here. But then Lindsay thought about it. She could tell Artemis everything. She looked to Pete and said, "Can I ask you a question about what happened before I left?" She knew he would know what she was talking about. She had a sad look on her face. She needed to know.

Pete smiled when he saw Lindsay. One of the only things that made him smile. The he heard her qustion. It wasent bothering him really. He knew Angel and him would never flirt and go out with each other. She took care of Pete. Angel was like an older sister, where as Lindsay was the most amazing person, his love. "Yeah... Lindsay, nothing happened. After what you did for me, i would never even think of that." He smiled slightly. "Well. Now that thats out... I want to feel better, so lets talk about good stuuf, right Artemis?" He said really avoiding anything that could hurt him emotinaly at that time.
