After walking around the mall for nearly an hour, Heather was getting a bit hungry. At a glance at her cell phone, she saw that it was after noon. No wonder she was starving; she hadn't eaten at all today. Heather's dark brown hair was loose and curly down her back. There was no one she had to impress today, so she saw no reason to straighten it. She was wearing jeans, flip-flops, and a white tank top. Heather was quite aware she was getting more than a few looks, but she didn't care. Although she was alone, she was having some fun shopping for some new clothes.
Heather arrived at the food court and thought about what she wanted to eat. Unlike most girls of her status in high school, she had a very healthy appetite. After a few seconds of thought, Heather ordered a huge slice of pizza and a pop. She sat down at two-person table and started to eat her way steadily through it, her bags stowed next to her feet.
Thinking about a lot of things, Heather was mostly oblivious to everyone else around her. This year was going well for her at school; so far she wasn't in any huge fights with her friends, all her homework was turned in, and not too many teachers disliked her... yet. Some seemed to think she was irresponsible. Heather just liked to have a little fun.
Some time later, Heather realized she had finished her pizza and there were only ice cubes left in her drink. She stood up and tossed the cup and paper plate into a garbage bin. Then she walked back to the table and started rummaging through one of the bags for the new cell phone cover she had just bought. Heather didn't even notice that someone had approached until they spoke.
((Urgh... my muse is hiding from me, I'm sorry. ))
