Mina entered one of the most popular stores of the mall: Abercrombie & Fitch. But the store was so expensive! Mina knew she wouldn't be able to afford Abercrombie products. Was there anything...cheap? Or on sale? She checked the price tags, but most were over one hundred dollars, or just something she couldn't afford. She sighed after she looked at every tag.
Her mind crept back to friends. Whatever happened to Jack? Sure, he was older than her, so she probaly wouldn't know anyways. Maybe it had been a month since they first met. It didn't bother her as much. She knew Jack was a senior, and of course, more busier than her.
Her mind crept back to Raquella Sawamatsu, the girl she had met at the Dawn Club. Mina thought the girl was...unique. Except for the whole beer situation. It had worried her alot that it bothered her the whole day. Though, she had hoped, to possibly still be the girl's friend. And perhaps, maybe good friends...

Now, Raquella would neeevvver be caught dead in Abercrombie & Fitch. Unless of course, her cousin Aiko, who was escorting her, shot her, and dragged her through the door. Whoever this Abercromfitch was, he undoubtedly would be shocked at how:
a) expensive things were b) revealing they were c) well-known they were
And plus, she was way too indie for that. She was a bit of an unusual creature. She dolled up, but she did it cheaply. One thing about shopping in the market: They'll swindle you, scam you, but they know you aren't stupid. The whole problem with these stores, they treated you dumb so eventually you lowered to that. The clothes were outrageous. She could afford them, but they were just so poorly made.
Feet in a pair of cute platforms from the closet of Aiko, she was dressed in a pink and reddish patterned V neck Versace top and a pair of faded, stylishly torn and sewn whitewashed jeans. She never grasped the point of pre-faded denim, but wore in nonetheless with black stockings underneath. Her cousin looked like a streetwalker, in a short cotton pink dress with various ruffles. They got their attention.
Entering, her accomplice on her arm, she spotted Mina, the girl she'd seen at Dawn. She hoped she hadn't really scared her too much, because, well, that kid seemed so sweet and nice, which might've rubbed off on her. She walked on over, waving and saying a quick "Hi Mina." Mina, who was still looking at the price tags-and feeling pennyless-hopelessly, turned to where the person stood to. For some reason, Mina didn't feel so awkward around her about the situation that had scared her at the Dawn. Then again, she was actually happy her friend was right there. "Hey Raquella!" Mina said cheerfully. "And, hello Aiko," she greeted the other girl she had met at the Dawn club. "How are you both?"

"I'm good, Mina. What are you looking for? I can help if you want." Aiko just smiled and nodded along with Raquella, a lot more polite when she was sober. Aiko Sawamatsu, baby eater and secret alcoholic, polite? Lately Raquella had been feeling a lot different from herself, not pushing over old women or being rude. Yeah, the positive influence of her new friend had definately helped her outlook a little bit.
She scanned the racks, searching for something that could suit Mina, oblivious to the girl's price tag crisis. She figured she probably had money, hm. Plucking a yellow-orange top from the bunch of colors, she held it up and saw how nicely the color blended with her skin. "This would look good on you."

"Glad to hear you're alright," Mina said. "Erm...shopping around," she answered. "Decided to fill up my wardobe, I s'pose." Mina had previously cleared her wardobe a bit. It wasn't really as full as before unfortunately. "Sure! I could use your help!" she added cheerfully. Personally, she wasn't a fan of Abercrombie & Fitch. But now, she thought she'd try something new. Besdies, a lot of people around Fairfield would wear Abercrombie, right? She just needed to fit in wth the teens.
While scanning more outfits (and sighing after price tag after price tag), came Raquella's voice again. She turned toward her seieng Raquella with a cute top. "Mmm...very pretty." she said. "How much?"

((Crap. I posted this and I hadn't realized I was on the Eva account. Oops.)) With the air of somebody who had done this over and over again before, Raquella expertly flipped up the price tag and located the number. "$40.00." She answered, and held it up to her face. "Yes, no?"
"I haven't been in here a lot before. I'm glad I ran into you." For some reason she didn't feel like launching into her top 5 reasons not to buy overpriced clothing from Abercrombie & Fitch. A lot of the things she used to enjoy were getting boring and old, and new things were filling their places just as fast. The school year hadn't even ended yet, and she already wanted a a pause, a break, to get all of this back in line.

In her mind, Mina didn't think it would be that expensive. Then again, she didn't even know how much money she had in her wallet. She took it out from her pocket, with American dollars. She wasn't very good with American money, since she was more used to British pounds. Five, ten, thirty, fifty!! Aha! Just enough for the cute top. "I've got enough," she answered. "Thanks again."
"Really? I'm glad I ran into you as well." she said. It didn't happen much to Mina, seeing that she was didn't know many people around Fairfiedl. Though once in a while, she'd see some people around, since teenagers always love to go out. "Well, do you want to me find you something, as well?" she asked. Just to thank Raquella for picking out the top.
