RULES[/u][/size]
1. Do not power play, power game, etc., unless you approve the power play with the other roleplayer. If you do so without permission, it will be edited.
2. No Mary Sues or John Does, because they just get annoying. Perfect characters are bad for the experience.
3. Write posts in the third person.
Good Example: Jim walked in and picked up a book.
Bad Example: I walk in and pick up a book.
4. Please try and use good spelling and punctuation. A few spelling mistakes are understandable, but if you have any doubt use the spell-checker. That is what it's there for. Put two smiley faces on the bottom of your application to verify you read the rules.
5. You cannot kill someone else's character until you get the permission of one of the staff members and the player of the character. This is considered a form of god moderation and is against our rules.
To verify that you read the rules, see rule number four.
6. Write more than a sentence in your posts, because these short, one-sentence replies are horrifying. We want more than one-liners, at the very least give us a good paragraph.
Note: If this rule is broken repeatedly, the admins reserve the right to try and "help" rectify the problem as we see fit. Either in the form of character counseling or, if the problem is that sever, by banning from the community.
7. Sex is allowed on the board, but keep it tasteful, please. Meaning it is warned of the venture into adult situations. We observe the right to edit anything we see fit. If the sexual scenes are not clearly marked, we can ultimately delete the replies or thread as we see fit.
8. Cursing is allowed, but don't swear too often, and be tasteful.
9. Make sure OOC comments are differentiated in IC posts using (( )) and please keep OOC discussion in the forum designated for that purpose.
10. Bios for original chars must be approved by two staff members or the main admin before you may begin to roleplay. Please wait until the bio has been moved into the 'Accepted' Area before posting in-character.
Added: (For new members only) Please DO NOT post in the relations/character profile/or mini plots section UNTIL YOU ARE ACCEPTED!! Thank you. If you disobey this, the posts will be deleted and sent back over pm in case you want to use them again.
11. You may have as many characters as you wish, as long as you keep them all active. Just try not to have too many A-list celebrities with your seconday characters as people do want to use them as well. Also, we need more males!
Rules are subject to change. THANK YOU for taking the time to read these.
